Firefighters in Kelowna managed to limit damages caused by a hedge fire Monday.
Kelowna Fire Department crews responded to a call for an unknown fire the Springfield and Burtch roads area at approximately 4 p.m. June 10.
The first crew on the scene reported heavy smoke coming from between tow house complexes where a large hedge was on fire. A shed and exterior of multiple town homes were also involved.
Crews worked quickly to knock down the flames, limiting damage to the buildings’ exterior.
All occupants made it out of their home safely and no injuries were reported.
The Fire Department says the blaze did not appear suspicious in nature, but an investigation into the cause had been launched.
