Grants available for community projects in Kelowna
The City of Kelowna has opened grant opportunities for neighbourhood-led projects and events in the fall.
The city stated it was accepting applications for the Neighbourhood Grant and Youth Development and Engagement Grant programs.
The Neighbourhood Grant program, which is supported by the Central Okanagan Foundation, provides up to $1,500 in matching funds to support projects in Kelowna neighbourhoods.
Projects that foster connections and are inclusive will receive special consideration. These can include a block part, scavenger hunt, talent show, or planting a community garden.

These initiatives, organized and run by and for youth aged 13 to 24, can include a film festival, open mic night, concert, creating a free library, or painting a mural.
Individuals or groups wishing to apply for the funding can do so through the City of Kelowna’s website.
