Drugs and cash seized in trafficking investigation
A drug trafficking investigation in the Okanagan led to the seizure of large quantities of cash and substances.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP’s Targeted Policing Unit, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia, and Kelowna RCMP executed search warrants at residents in both Vernon and Kelowna at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday, July 18.
The searches of the residences on Monashee Road in Vernon and Panorama Lane in Kelowna led to officers seizing a large quantity of cash, prescription drugs, and suspected fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine.
Four people were arrested in the searches, three men and a woman, all of whom were from the Lower Mainland.
The suspects were released pending further investigation and approval of charges for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
