A Kelowna roundabout at Byrns Road and Guisachan Road will close starting Oct. 19 for construction tied to the Burtch Road extension project.
The closure is expected to last approximately two months, weather permitting. Drivers will be detoured via Gordon Drive, Springfield Road and Benvoulin Road.
The work is part of the City of Kelowna’s plan to extend Burtch Road and improve the city’s transportation network and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The long-term goal is to create a continuous north-south corridor between Glenmore Road and KLO Road.
Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and construction personnel instructions, and check the city’s road report at kelowna.ca/roadreport before travelling.
