Get ready for possible smoke in the Mission and surrounding areas.
As early as Monday, the BC Wildfire Service will be supporting a recreational site for a pile burning project at the Gillard Mountain Bike trail network parking lot. That’s about three kilometres southeast of the city.
The burn is to clean up the accumulations of fire fuels like dead wood or brush.
