MLA hosts virtual town hall on Covid-19
Kelowna-Lake Country MLA and Opposition Critic for Health Norm Letnick – in consultation with Health Minister Adrian Dix – is inviting constituents and community members to join a virtual town hall with the Interior Health Authority (IHA) on Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m. and has issued the following statement:
“Like many of my fellow MLAs, I have been thinking about how we can support our communities during this ongoing health crisis. Last week I directed this question to my constituents. I received a lot of helpful input from many of you and a frequent response was that there is a lot of conflicting data and panic circulating so it would be helpful for our local MLAs and Interior Health authorities to host webinars with actual facts and useful information.
“Taking direction from our community, I am pleased to invite you to join us in a virtual town hall with Susan Brown, CEO and President of the IHA, and Dr. Sue Pollock, Chief Medical Health Officer for the IHA, on Friday evening from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
“All citizens are invited to join in, ask questions of our panelists, and get answers that we hope will help you and your families through these troubled times.
Anyone wishing to participate can register online at https://teamokanagan.com/. Participants can ask questions live during the town hall or in advance by email to askIHAtownhall@gmail.com.
