Province reports 14 new COVID-19 cases, one more death

The province is reporting 14 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.
There are no new cases in Interior Health (still at 199).
In a news release, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says today’s cases bring the province-wide total to 2,849, distributed as follows:
- 963 (Vancouver Coastal)
- 1,491 (Fraser Health)
- 131 (Island Health)
- 199 (Interior Health)
- 65 (Northern Health)
There are no new outbreaks in the community or in the healthcare system.
One more person has died of COVID-19, bringing the provincial death toll to 171. The victim was in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.
There are 162 active cases in B.C., including 14 people in hospital and seven in either critical or intensive care.
The number of people considered fully recovered is now 2,516, or 88 per cent of the total.
