Early morning fatal collision

One person is dead after an incident this morning on the Trans Canada Highway east of Kamloops.

Staff Sergeant Mathias Val Laer says a pedestrian was struck by an eastbound semi trailer unit. No details at this point, and Staff Van Laer says the victim’s identity hasn’t been revealed.

The incident happened just before 4:30 AM. Currently, all eastbound traffic on Highway one is blocked between Tanager Road and Grand Boulevard. One westbound lane has also been closed until further notice.
