One man dead after shooting

RCMP are investigating a shooting which left one man dead and another injured Sunday in Kelowna.

Police say it happened in the McCulloch area, but they were called after two men arrived in a car at Kelowna General Hospital around 12 p.m.

One was injured while another was found deceased in the car.

The first male victim is receiving for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

No further details were released other than the investigation is continuing and RCMP are hoping anyone with knowledge of what went down will contact them.

“The victim has indicated that the shooting occurred in the McCulloch area and officers are canvassing the area searching for evidence,” stated Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy, Media Relations Officer for the Kelowna RCMP. “The investigation is still in it’s early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.”
