UPDATE B.C. election candidate list now official

UPDATE Oct. 3

Elections BC has finalized the list of candidates for the 2020 B.C. election on Oct. 24.

There are 332 candidates, with 308 representing 10 registered political parties, while 24 candidates are running as independents.

There are four candidates in Vernon-Monashee, three in the Shuswap, three in Kelowna-Mission, and five in both Kelowna West and Kelowna-Lake Country.

The deadline for candidate nominations for the Oct. 24th B.C. election passed at 1 p.m. today (Oct. 2).

“The list below is NOT final as we are processing candidate nominations that were delivered before the close of nominations at 1:00 p.m. on October 2,” said Elections BC on its website. “We will update the list as soon as possible and will indicate when the list is finalized.”
