115 new Covid cases in B.C., just one in Interior
The majority of new COVID-19 cases in B.C continue to come from the Lower Mainland.
A statement from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 115 new cases on Wednesday, which includes one new case in Interior Health.
The Northern and Island Health regions also each had a single new case, with the rest in the Vancouver Coastal (32) and Fraser Health (81) regions.
There have been no new COVID-related deaths (total still 244), and no new community or health-system outbreaks.
There are 1,387 active cases in the province, 3,042 people who are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases and 8,296 people who tested positive have recovered.
Currently, 71 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19, with 15 in critical or intensive care.
