Fatal crash on Highway 1
One person died in a crash on Highway 1 near Donald B.C Tuesday (Nov. 10).
RCMP say a semi truck jack-knifed into oncoming traffic and collided with a passenger vehicle around 11:50 a.m. MST.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured, however one person in the passenger vehicle died at the scene.
“Police are in the very early stages of this investigation and details are limited. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and nothing has been ruled out,” said Cpl. Mike Halskov with BC RCMP Traffic Services.
Highway 1 is closed in both directions as the investigation continues.
