Coach company applies for new bus route serving Shuswap, Okanagan
Rider Express has applied to offer passenger bus service through the Shuswap and into the Okanagan.
The Regina-based coach company already provides service from the Alberta border through Kamloops into the Lower Mainland along the Trans Canada/Coquihalla corridor.
In an application to Passenger Transportation Board, Rider Express proposes to offer daily service from the Alberta border to Salmon Arm, turning south to Enderby and into the Okanagan before reversing.
The route would terminate in Penticton during the summer and Kelowna during the rest of the year.
The application states the company will make a minimum one trip per day with stops in Kelowna, Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Revelstoke and Golden, among others.
The deadline to comment on the Rider Express application is December 21.
