There are 19 new COVID-19 cases linked to the community cluster at Big White.
Interior Health said it brings the total number of cases at the ski resort to 162.
“Of the 162 known cases linked to this cluster, 107 reside on Big White Mountain. There are currently 29 cases active and on isolation and 133 individuals have recovered,” an IH news release stated.
IH does not indicate what the new infections may be a result of, but urges everyone in the Big White community “to avoid social gatherings and that socialization must be limited to immediate household bubbles.”
IH said the risk remains low for families and individuals visiting the ski resort who follow public health guidance.
The next update on the outbreak will be Friday, Jan. 15.
