Update on COVID-19 cluster at Big White

The COVID-19 cluster at Big White has added 11 new cases since last week for a total of 225.

Three of the new cases were people who live or work at the ski resort.

“Of the 225 known cases linked to this cluster, 139 have resided and/or worked on Big White Mountain. There are 21 cases currently active,” a news release from Interior Health announced.

IH is reminding everyone in the Big White community to avoid social gatherings.

“Please follow public health guidance such as physical distancing, washing your hands regularly and wearing a mask.”

IH said the risk remains low for families and individuals visiting Big White Mountain who follow public health guidance.
