Local COVID cases fluctuate

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Greater Vernon stayed the same last week.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control reported 59 cases from Jan. 17 to 23 in Vernon, Coldstream, and RDNO Areas B and C, same as the week before.
Cases spiked in Enderby with 11 (up by 10), while Armstrong-Spallumcheen had five, same as the previous week.
Salmon Arm saw cases jump with 55, an increase of 19.
New infections in Kelowna and the rest of the Central Okanagan came in at 65, down by 74.
New case totals for communities:
- Vernon – 59 (unchanged)
- Armstrong-Spallumcheen – five (unchanged)
- Enderby – 11 (up by 10)
- Salmon Arm — 55 (up by 19)
- Central Okanagan-Kelowna — 65 (down by 74)
- Penticton — nine (down by two)
- Kamloops — 124 (up by 27)
- North Thompson – 0 (unchanged)
- Revelstoke – two (down by 14)
- Golden — eight (up by seven)
- Cariboo/Chilcotin – 120 (down by 20 from last week)
