Alleged red-light runner causes crash

RCMP issued a ticket after a driver allegedly ran a red light and caused a three car collision in Kelowna.
Police say on Tuesday (Feb. 16), just before 8:00 p.m. officers responded the intersection of Highway 33 and Highway 97.
“A Toyota Prius travelling north on Highway 97 allegedly ran a red light and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Cavalier. The Prius then rolled into the front of a semi truck which was stopped at the light,” Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy stated.
No injuries were reported.
The 33-year-old woman driving the Prius was issued a violation ticket for failure to stop at the red light.
