Witnesses sought to motorcycle MVA

Salmon Arm RCMP are looking for information related to a serious motor vehicle incident involving a motorcycle on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

At about 6:45 p.m., a motorbike was involved in a single vehicle collision near the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road.

The driver was transported to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries by a passing motorist.

“Salmon Arm RCMP would like to speak with the person(s) involved in the transport of the driver to hospital and the person who graciously recovered the motorcycle and transported it to Shuswap Lake General Hospital,” Constable Allan Slaney stated.

Anyone from the public who may have witnessed the operation of the black 2017 Aprilia motorcycle on Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road or the Trans-canada Highway on May 16 around 6:45 p.m. or just prior to the incident are asked to call the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044.
