B.C. Covid update Wednesday: cases up for third straight day

New COVID-19 cases are up for a third straight day in B.C. with 59 today — 17 of those in Interior Health.
There are 624 active cases in the province with 86 people in hospital and 20 in intensive care.
Interior Health has 163 active cases.
Elsewhere, there are 20 new cases in Fraser Health, 13 in Vancouver Coastal Health, two new cases in Northern Health, three in Island Health, and four for people who reside outside of Canada.
There are no new deaths in B.C, and 38.2 per cent (1.77 million) of eligible B.C. residents are now fully vaccinated (two doses) and 78.2 per cent of those 12 and older, have received their first dose.
