Wildfires still burning, air quality poor

There are 298 fires burning in the province this morning. That’s actually down a handful from the weekend. But the number has increased in the Kamloops Fire Centre, where 115 fires are burning.
The Tremont Creek and White Rock Lake fires seem to be the most active, but none of the big fires are considered being held or under control as of this morning.
Meanwhile, air quality continues to be poor in the Thompson and Okanagan regions. The special air quality statement is still in effect, and the government’s air quality index is at 10 or extreme risk in the areas where the smoke is heaviest.
Long story short, if you’re feeling problematic, stay indoors.
