Costco to open new store next month

Costco will open its new Kelowna store next month.

Members were sent an email this week saying the new larger warehouse on Baron Road will start welcoming customers on Feb. 17, a day after the current one will close.

A Costco spokesperson told the Kelowna Capital News the new outlet will have more products and services such as expanded hearing aid and optical centres.

The new warehouse will be about 32,000 square feet larger than the current.

The company’s 24-station gas bar opened earlier.

The current store on Highway 97 North has been open since 1991.
