Bark in the Park
Today Ayva and Molly from your Beach Radio Events Crew were out in City Park for the ‘Bark in the Park’ event. Students from the Event & Promotions Management program at the Centre for Arts and Technology organized and conducted the event as their final project.
At the Beach tent, the crew was busy playing 103.1 Beach Radio and handing out free SunRype goodies! Pet vendors were also on location selling a selection of stylish collars and leashes.
Admission was free and all activities had a $5 participation fee. There was a selection of events for people and their furry friends to participate in. The obstacle course was a hit along with the caricature drawings! Photography students were also taking pet portraits.
All in all, this was a PAWSOME event for people and dogs alike! All event proceeds will be going to an organization that helps give compassion animals to those in need, ‘Pets for People’.
We would like to congratulate the Centre for Arts and Technology students for their hard work planning a successful event! Thank you to every dog and every person that joined us in supporting a great cause!
