Scooter struck in hit and run incident

One person is in hospital following a hit and run in Kelowna.
RCMP has launched an investigation into the incident, which involved a vehicle striking a man on an electric scooter at the intersection of Lewis Road and Gardner Road at around 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Mounties say the 59-year-old male rider suffered significant injuries in the Black Mountain area collision. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The vehicle, which fled the scene, was reported as being a smaller car and possibly green in colour.
Mounties ask any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the collision to call the Kelowna detachment at 250-762-3300.
