A long-term care facility in Kelowna has been declared the site of a new COVID-19 outbreak.
Interior Health reported the outbreak at the Sun Pointe Village Tuesday, Nov. 8, saying the entire facility is affected.
This is the second outbreak at a Kelowna long-term care centre in less than a month.
An outbreak at Spring Valley Care Centre was declared on Oct. 21.
That outbreak lasted until Nov. 1, and resulted in 29 cases and one death.
Additionally, outbreaks are ongoing at the David E. Kampe Tower (Level 6) and the Rehab Unit at Penticton Regional Hospital and at the Dr. Andrew Pavillion in Summerland as of time of publication.
