Police respond to report of person pointing gun

There was a large police presence in downtown Kelowna this afternoon (Jan. 13).
RCMP responded to a call around 1:45 p.m. of a person pointing a possible gun in the 1600 block of St. Paul Street.
Officers were able to quickly confirm the incident as it was was captured on video.
“After closing off that block to vehicle traffic, officers were able to make an arrest of the suspected male without incident and what is believed to be a replica handgun was located,” RCMP spokesperson Ryan Watters said.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
