Fundraiser to support wildlife centre
A local wildlife society is going to be benefiting from a car wash fundraiser .
The Wild Things Rehabilitation Society is looking to build its first ever facility in Kelowna, and Skogie’s Car Wash is supporting the initiative.
Between March 31 and April 3, for every deluxe car wash purchased at either the Vernon or Kelowna Skogie’s locations, $2 will be donated to the cause.
People wishing to support the car wash fundraiser will need to use the automated exterior wash at the sites. Drivers will need to select the option Enter Wash Code or Coupon and input the Wild Things code 2345 in order for the donation to go through.
Wild Things Rehabilitation Society is a Kelowna-based group focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned wildlife in the Central Okanagan.
The group is working with the City of Kelowna to build their facility in East Kelowna.
“The support from the community is amazing. We cannot thank the team at Skogie’s enough for hosting this fundraiser to help raise funds for our inaugural facility in East Kelowna,” Sydney Platz, Wild Things Rehabilitation founder, stated.
“We are so excited to bring Kelowna’s very first wildlife rehabilitation centre to fruition. We look forward to continuing to assist the community with wildlife concerns as well as educate the public on human wildlife conflict resolution and environmental stewardship.”
