West Kelowna Fire Rescue had to extinguish structure fires that spread from a hedge.
The fire department said they were called to the 1100 block of Concorde Rd. in Lakeview Heights for a report of cedars on fire Friday morning.
Crews arrived on the scene and found a fire in a cedar hedge, a 10’x30′ outbuilding and an RV trailer.
Firefighters reportedly began work to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to any other structures.
As of 7:49 a.m., crews were still on the scene using an excavator to access hidden fires under the shed roof structure.
Fire investigators were also on the scene to determine the cause of the fire, which at the time was considered suspicious in nature.
It was not disclosed whether the shed or RV were destroyed in the blaze, and Vernon Matters has requested more information on the fire from West Kelowna Fire Rescue.
