Football game raises funds for burn fund and fire victims
Burn victims and residents impacted by the McDougall Creek wildfire will be the focus at the Okanagan Sun’s game this Saturday, Sept. 9 against the Vancouver Island Raiders in Kelowna.
This game will be used to raise funds for the BC Burn Fund and Central Okanagan Fire Relief Fund.
The B.C. Burn Fund is a non-profit that helps burn survivors in every step of their recovery.
The Central Okanagan Fire Relief Fund is to help people who were affected by the McDougall Creek Fire.

The event will begin with a pre-game tailgate party, featuring a live DJ, in the east parking lot.
“Then come inside the stadium to see a full honour guard flag ceremony. Country singer Dawson Grey will be preforming the half time show presented by the OK Corral,” Liebel said.
Game time at the Apple Bowl at 1555 Burtch Road will be 7 p.m.
