Gospel Mission looking to raise $300,000 in match campaign
Kelowna Gospel Mission’s (KGM) has announces what it cals it’s “biggest Christmas match ever.”
Their Christmas Match Campaign begins November 20 and runs until midnight on November 28.
KGM’s goal is to raise $300,000 to support the essential services they provide to people experiencing homelessness and poverty in our community.
Troy McKnight, Director of Resource Development, said he is thankful for all of their match partners whose generosity is inspiring the greater Kelowna community to donate and see their impact multiplied.
“I am always overwhelmed by the compassion and support that we see throughout the year, but I am especially moved by the outpouring of generosity and care we experience over the holiday season. It reminds our neighbours in need that they are seen, valued and cared for,” McKnight said.
McKnight said the Match campaign has even greater importance this year.
“Between the soaring cost of living, the housing crisis and the West Kelowna and Kelowna wildfires, people in the city are struggling more than ever.”
Donations will be used to provide food, shelter and support services for people in Kelowna who are experiencing acute need.
