Former RCMP officer to appear on the ballot in West Kelowna-Peachland

The name of a former RCMP member will appear on the ballot in the West Kelowna-Peachland riding in the next provincial election.
Macklin McCall was named the candidate for the Conservative Party of B.C. in the Central Okanagan riding.
McCall has lived his whole life in the Okanagan having grown up on a family farm in Okanagan Falls, and then spending the past 15 years in West Kelowna.
He spent 19 years as an RCMP officer and the provincial party said his past job showcased his passion for upholding the Charter of Rights and Freedom. The party also said on its website his role as a police officer provided him with experience addressing mental health challenges.
The next provincial election is scheduled for October, 2024.
