Trans Canada closed until Thursday due to avalanche danger

Highway 1 between B.C. and Alberta is closed in the Southern Interior due to the danger of avalanches.

Drive BC said the Trans Canada Highway between Revelstoke and Golden was shut down Wednesday afternoon and there is no detour available.

The estimated time of re-opening is at 12 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 29).
