A Kelowna teenager has died in an avalanche while skiing in the Alberta backcountry.
RCMP say the 19-year-old and another man were skiing east of the Mount Engadine Lodge on Tower Peak in Kananaskis Sunday when the avalanche happened.
The teen was buried, but the other man was able to dig himself out.
Avalanche Canada says there have been several skier-triggered slides reported in the past 24-hours.
