Rare coin collection recovered in Kelowna

Police in Kelowna are wanting to return a collection of rare coins to its rightful owner.

The RCMP said the coins were recovered during a traffic stop in July. The collection includes several coins from various years, with police believing they belong to someone in the community.

The RCMP released a photo of a small portion of the collection, with the hopes that it will be recognized by the rightful owner, with Mounties stating “all other avenues to locate the owner have been exhausted.”

The rightful owner of the coins can contact the RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file #2024-39739. They will have to provide proof of ownership to take back the collection.
