Kelowna Chamber to host provincial election forum next month

Kelowna-area voters will have an opportunity to hear from provincial election candidates at an all-candidates forum next month.

The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event Oct. 20 at the Kelowna Events Centre, bringing together candidates from Kelowna-Mission, Kelowna Centre and Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream.

The forum runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with doors opening for registration at 3:45 p.m.

Admission is free, but attendees must register in advance because seating is limited.

The Chamber says all registered candidates in the three Kelowna-area ridings will be invited to participate.

Questions will be selected ahead of time and candidates will be given set time limits for their responses. The event will be moderated and is being presented as a non-partisan forum.

Campaign signs, clothing, buttons, handouts and other promotional materials will not be permitted inside the venue.
