Corey’s “Free Ride” Blog: My Happy Place

We begin Week 3 of the Free Ride Jeep giveaway with rescue dogs, secret locations, and interesting trades!

11am – 12:43pm: Okanagan Dodge (2690 Highway 97)
As usual, I’m on location for 103 minutes, qualifying one lucky contestant each and every location I go to!  Mark rolled in on his purple Harley; I can’t ever recall seeing one that colour before! He was on his way north of town to take a motorcycle road test. Wouldn’t that be something if he passed and qualified for a Jeep on the same day!  Barb later arrived with her rescue dog Baxter, who looks like he’s been in a few scraps!  But his behaviour was excellent, and was very friendly and obedient! Great training, and good on the BC SPCA!

3 – 4:43: Downtown on Bernard Ave between Pandosy and Ellis
Generally, I can inform the morning contest goers where I am going to be later in the day; but today it was a secret! And you passed! I set up shop on Bernard Ave in the afternoon, right outside of Burnett’s Florist, and it was fun watching you listeners spot me and make a B-line towards the Jeep!  Kudos to Ellie and the ladies at Burnett’s, they were extremely welcoming to us, and coincidentally had a small sign in their store front window that read, “The Beach is my Happy Place,” isn’t that awesome!?
Today was also a day of trade requests; I was offered a free pen in exchange for a second Entry Form, and was also offered a cigarette for an Entry Form to a minor (I don’t know if it was tobacco or marijuana, but the only smoke I inhale comes from wildfires, and I hope that is a minimum this summer)

When I’m not driving around a Jeep, you can hear me hosting the weekends on Beach Radio; 9 – 3 on Saturday, 11 – 5 on Sunday.
