I was on a mission in the Mission! I didn’t stray very far from home today.
11am – 12:43pm: Hector’s Casa (2911 Pandosy St.)
2.2km up the street from Beach Radio is Hector’s Casa, the hidden patio oasis in the Pandosy Village. This Mexican restuarant is so authentic, they served “Enchilada Divorciadas” for lunch, which literally translates to Divorced Enchiladas! One enchilada was red sauced, one was green sauced; so very Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.’ Also, I think I referred to them as “Divorcia-dadas,” which might mean single father. I don’t know for sure.
I thought it was a slow day because of the rain, but when I went inside to collect the drawbox, the Casa was full! I didn’t notice that many of the contest goers I sent inside the restaurant to drop their Entry Forms in the box were not coming back outside; they were sitting down for lunch! Divorciadas be darned! (or eaten)
