Ice time conflict solved
The City of West Kelowna says recent scheduling conflicts among key user groups for ice time have been resolved.
“Scheduling of arenas is a complex undertaking and involves a large number of user groups vying for ice time. Scheduling conflicts had arisen earlier this month with a change in West Kelowna Warriors game start times. In order to come to a mutually-beneficial arrangement, the City met with representatives from the West Kelowna Warriors, West Kelowna Minor Hockey and Westside Ringette to address this conflict,” said a city news release.
The city stated the group worked together with a solution-oriented approach and were able to negotiate appropriate times for every user group.
“The City of West Kelowna thanks the West Kelowna Warriors, West Kelowna Minor Hockey and Westside Ringette for exemplifying the principles of great teamwork!,” added the release.
