Boil water notice for Ross and Brentwood Roads in West Kelowna
The City of West Kelowna has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice for residents in the Ross Road and Brentwood Road areas (see map) due to a watermain tie-in complication. Some residents in these areas have had water service turned off.
Construction to install a sidewalk along Ross Road, between Brentwood Road and Riffington Place, is underway and August 14’s tie-in work caused some discolouration of water to area residents.
The City is working with the contractor to rectify the issue and anticipates to have normal service resumed as soon as possible.
Free water is available at the bulk water station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads. A tap is located on the Asquith Road side of the station. Users must bring their own clean containers and clean hoses if needed and ensure they are suitable for potable water.
Boil Water Notice Instructions:
Use water that has been brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute or use an alternate source of water for brushing teeth, drinking, making ice, preparing foods and beverages and washing fruits and vegetables.
