What started as a phony Facebook event has now grown into something out of this world!
This summer, a Facebook event called “Storm Area 51” was created as a joke, and went viral. 2 million Facebook users clicked on “Going.” The US Government got involved, saying the military “stands ready” if anyone attacks the base at Area 51. So you could say that things got a little crazy.
Now, the focus has shifted from a critical mass of humans rushing the fences of Area 51, to an alien-themed music festival!
No word on if the Cantina Band from Star Wars has been booked to play Alienstock.
