The cause of an overnight fire at a Kelowna residence is being investigated as suspicious.
Fire crews arrived to the 1000 block of Francescutti Court around 1 a.m. to see flames coming out the windows and roof at the home that no one was living in.
“The crews performed a defensive attack from the exterior at first to knock the fire down. The fire crews then entered the structure and completed the extinguishment,” said platoon captain Dennis Miller.
RCMP are in charge of the investigation into the cause.
Four engines, a Command Unit, rescue truck and 17 fire personnel were on scene to fight the fire along with assistance from RCMP, BCAS and Fortis Electrical.
