Fire damages house

A house in the 800 block of Morrison Road in Kelowna sustained extensive damage in a fire late Tuesday night.

Fire officials say the main floor was fully involved with flames when they arrived around 11:45 p.m.

“A defensive fire attack was deployed and the fire was controlled from the outside,” said platoon captain Dennis Miller.

No one was home at the time, and the cause is under investigation.

“Four engines, a command unit, rescue truck along with 19 fire personnel were on scene to fight the fire,” Miller added.
