New deal for UBC/UBCO and faculty

The University of B.C. and the UBC Faculty Association have ratified a new three year agreement covering 4,200 faculty members at UBC and UBC Okanagan.

The deal includes wage hikes of two per cent each year, running from July 1, 2019 until the end of June 2022.

It also includes modest funding increases for professional development of full faculty and sessional lecturers to further enhance learning for students, research innovations and productivity.

The faculty association represents professors, instructors, lecturers, sessional lecturers, librarians and program directors in extended learning.
