I’m not one to spout study findings, but when your health is involved, I take it super seriously. I want you to live a long time.
And if you’re reading this, you’re already doing yourself a favour, because that means you are a fan of the music styles of the 1980s.
A cosmetic surgery center in Turkey studied the effects of different genres of music playlists had on the stress levels of over 1500 adults.
From ’60s golden hits, ’90s R&B, dubstep, jazz, the list goes on. The study found the style that pacified people the most was, yup, ’80s.
96% reported a decrease in blood pressure (!), and 36% also felt their heart rate drop. (though that has to be tougher, if you are pumped up by a wicked ’80s jam!)
